By using Bristle & Bot you agree to these terms. They are short because the site is simple: it publishes information and links to retailers.

What this site is

Bristle & Bot publishes compiled product specifications and buying guidance. We are not a retailer, not a manufacturer, and not an agent for either. We do not sell the products described here, we hold no stock, and we take no payment from you.

Accuracy, and its limits

Every specification figure on this site is quoted from a published source and linked to it, with the date it was retrieved. We take that seriously and it is the whole point of the site. It is still information compiled from third-party material, and it carries the limits of that:

• Manufacturers change specifications, sometimes without changing the product name. A figure correct on its retrieval date may not be correct today.
• Stated maximums are laboratory maximums. A published threshold climb height assumes a clean square edge and ideal conditions. Your doorway is not a laboratory.
• We have not tested any of these products. Nothing here is a report of our own measurement, and how we pick sets out exactly what we do instead.
• Prices belong to the retailer. Where a price appears it comes from a live feed and may be out of date by the time you click. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout.

Verify anything that matters against the manufacturer’s own current material before buying, and if you find something wrong here, tell us and we will correct it.

Limitation of liability

The information on this site is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bristle & Bot is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or from a purchasing decision made on the basis of it. Your purchase is a contract between you and the retailer, and any warranty, return or repair question goes to them.

This is not professional advice

Nothing here is electrical, safety, medical or legal advice. Guidance about which floors can be mopped, how to handle a swollen battery, or what to do about an allergy is general information written for a general audience. For your specific floor, your specific appliance or your specific health, consult someone qualified to advise on it and follow the manufacturer’s own manual.
